CHARLOIS A LA PLAYA !

- ROTTERDAM





Charlois has long been shaped by its close relationship with the Waalhaven harbour, which historically provided work and identity for the local working-class community. As port activities move seaward, the neighbourhood struggles to offer suitable living and working conditions. The project seeks to reconnect residents with their harbour roots by blending work and leisure, creating new public spaces along the dike and integrating arts, crafts, and modern production with existing harbour functions. By preserving and expanding harbour buildings and adding green infrastructure, the concept supports social interaction, recreation, and an ecological transition towards a new type of urban harbour

PROJECT 02TELESKOP

VIENNA - BRIGITTENAUER BUCHT





In this studio, we investigated how temporary floating housing could offer relief to Vienna’s residents during heat waves. The goal was to design mobile water-based units for four to six people, intended for short-term stays. Unlike the luxury houseboats currently on the market, these units focus on practicality and include only the essential features needed for temporary living

PROJECT 03STEEL PECKER

- VIENNA





The design idea behind the Pecker was to construct a portable paravent made of steel fragments and fabric.
Its core structure consists of two lacquered steel C-profiles, connected by three hinges made from old stage-set hinges. Together, they form a U-profile in which the entire structure, including the room-dividing fabric, can be stored.

Once the U-profile is opened via the hinge, its two iron claws can be unfolded using a pin connection.

In the final step, the soft wings — supported by bones made of long metal rods — are stretched using two tendons of thin wire























PROJECT 04ATELIERHAUS

VIENNA - BILDHAUERGEBÄUDE DES BUNDES





The project involved designing a new small studio with an exhibition hall, integrated between the two existing large studios from the 1873 World Exhibition. The new building is symmetrically placed between the historic structures and extends longitudinally toward the garden, creating a clear spatial relationship between old and new while staging the pathway through the site. Located in northeastern Vienna, just south of the Danube between the Krieau racetrack and Ernst Happel Stadium, the new studio and exhibition space complement the last two remaining pavilions of the World Exhibition, forming a harmonious connection between the historic buildings and the new addition

PROJECT 05HOUSE IN WHITE - SPACIAL AUGMENT

TOKYO - SUGINAMI KU





A spatial enhancement that builds on Shinohara’s formal rigor to accommodate new programs. The project adds a compact extension for storage and garage space, as well as a reimagined garden design. Carefully aligned with the original 1966 grid, the new volume preserves the iconic living room’s open view while integrating harmoniously into Shinohara’s architectural language

PROJECT 06LA HORQUILA - EDUCATIONAL REFUGE

WIEN - ST.MARX





This project proposes a new educational campus on a centrally located site characterized by wild vegetation and a distinct hillside topography. To preserve the landscape, new construction is limited to already sealed ground.

A double-layered membrane envelope forms the main building, balancing light control, insulation, and flexible interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. Positioned along the northern edge, the structure shields the site from the busy street while maintaining visual openness through continuous glazing. Three programmatic volumes—housing a library with theater, flexible “white rooms,” and gastronomy—are clearly articulated by vertical circulation cores.

The library focuses on providing small learning units with direct access to outdoor terraces, addressing the lack of privacy many students face in shared living conditions. Further facilities include a sports hall with bouldering, fitness, yoga, and rooftop basketball courts, as well as a new “Open Marx” platform for student-driven activities above the S-Bahn station

PROJECT 07女の湯 – SENTO REVITALIZATION

TOKYO - KITA SENJU


UNDER CONSTRUCTION




This project focuses on the revitalization of an old sento, Ume-no-yu (梅の湯), located in Kita-Senju, Tokyo. The original floor plan enforced a strict separation between men and women. The aim of this design is to create a safe and welcoming space exclusively for women, offering a sanctuary within Japan’s patriarchal society. The design was developed during a workshop in Tokyo in collaboration with students from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo University of Science, and the National University of Singapore (NUS). By reimagining the bathhouse solely for female use, the project seeks to combine tradition with empowerment, fostering relaxation, community, and privacy for women in the heart of the city
